ROBERT LEE IVORY July 01, 1958 – January 25, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Mr. Robert Lee Ivory, age 63, left from labor to reward in Houston, Texas on Friday, January 25, 2019. Born on July 1, 1955 in Haynesville, Louisiana to Essie L. Bishop and Thessalonian Ivory. At an early age his mom moved the family from Haynesville to Houston, Texas where he attended Langston Elementary, Northwood Middle School, and Smiley High School and graduated from Forest Brook High School.

From high school he went on to attend cosmetology school where he found his passion and purpose. After completing cosmetology school, he worked at various salons before opening what would become a premier beauty salon in the 1990’s. He is preceded in death by his mother, Essie L. Bishop and father Thessalonian Ivory.

He leaves to mourn his passing; two daughters ~ Robin Whalen and Nena Ivory both of Houston, Texas, one grandson ~ Kamren Gibson, two sister ~ Alma Shelton (Johnny), Edrenia Sewoniky (Sunday), and two brothers~ L.C. Robinson and Wallace Ivory, all of Houston, Texas. He also leaves behind a hose of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
