Robert Leon Hyer went home to be with his Lord and savior on January 12, 2019 in Carmichael. He was born in El Reno, Oklahoma, on April 25, 1930, to John Hyer and Willene Bishop Hyer, both of whom preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his sister Sherry Kay Gilben.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Cathy Hyer. He is also survived by his sons Jeremy Hyer (Crystal), and Aaron Hyer, as well as his foster daughter Roxanne Thomas. Bob leaves behind his grandchildren; Stephanie Heinen (Zack), John Hyer, Jacob Hyer (Alex), & James Hyer (Lexie); His Great grandson Lucien; 1 great-great granddaughter who will arrive in April; and many other beloved family and friends.

A celebration of Bob’s life will take place on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at the Faith Baptist Tabernacle 3501 Q Street in North Highlands, beginning at 1:00 pm. There will be a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Faith Baptist Tabernacle, or The North Highlands Bible Church 5829 Watt Ave.
