Obituary for Robert “Bobby” Cusic Sr. Robert “Bobby” Louis Cusic, Sr., 77 of Mechanicsville, MD passed away on September 15, 2018 in Leonardtown, MD. Born February 23, 1941 in Leonardtown, MD, he was the son of the late Joseph Elwood Cusic, Sr. and Elvie Ann Wood Cusic. Bobby was the loving husband of Elizabeth Jean Cusic whom he married on September 8, 1962 in St. John’s Catholic Church, Hollywood, MD.
He was the father of Cynthia Lynn (Dennis-Stump) Spalding of Hollywood, MD, Susan Marie (John) Hall of Chaptico, MD, Janet Fay (Kenny) Wood of Hollywood, MD and Robert Louis Cusic, Jr. of Mechanicsville, MD, 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, sister: Sharon Ann Kidd of Big Island, VA, sisters-in-law: Arlene Cusic of LaPlata, MD and Joyce Ann Cusic of Chaptico, MD. In addition to his parents Bobby was preceded in death by his brothers: Joseph Elwood, Cusic, Jr and William Wendell Cusic. Bobby was a lifelong resident of St. Mary’s County, MD he graduated from Margaret Brent High school in 1960 and was a Salesman for Central Diesel.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD with prayers recited at 7:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 21, 2018 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Michael Tietjen officiating. Interment will follow in Queen of Peace Cemetery, Helen, MD.
Pallbearers will be: Matthew Spalding, Cody Spalding, Kyle Wood, Adam Johnson, Zach Lawrence and Pat Diehl.
