Obituary for Robert Michael Kelly Robert Michael Kelly (Mike), age 70, passed away at his home in Kingsville on June 26, 2018. Mike was born on March 17, 1945, in Kansas City, MO to John and Marian Kelly. He married Sandra Lee Thornburg on December 29, 1968, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

They have made their home in Kingsville for the past 33 years. Mike served in the Viet Nam War and was a proud Marine. Mike is survived by his wife, Sandy, of the home; his daughters, Dawn (Brian) James, Altadena, California; and Heather (Jim) Whitsitt, Kingsville, Missouri; Five Grandchildren, Erika, Brandon, and Samantha James, and Megan and Chloe Whitsitt, as well as his sister, Kathy (Don) Reffitt, and his nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marian Kelly, his brothers, John G Kelly and Joseph Maiden, and his son, John Michael Kelly. Private Graveside services will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO on Friday, July 6, 2018, under the direction of Ben Cast and Son-Wood Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life dinner will follow the services at Elm Spring Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
