Obituary for Robert Mills Mr. Robert Mills November 30, 1929 – May 2, 2018 Mr. Robert Mills, age 88, of Jackson, GA, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his family. Mr. Mills was born on November, 30 1929, in Polk City, FL, to the late Benjamin Franklin Mills and the late Minnie Mills. He was a veteran of the US Army and served as paratrooper, during the Korean War.

He was awarded, and considered a war hero for his acts of bravery during that conflict. He made his living as truck driver for many years and retired to become a master gardener. He enjoyed trips to the mountains, growing plants, fishing, swimming, reading his bible, listening to country music, watching westerns and studying the Native American culture.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Faye Mills and son, Steve Mills. Mr. Mills is survived by his daughters, Jean Rosser, Beth Mills and Pam Mills; grandchildren, Brian Phillips, Dean Mills, Zack Mills, Eli Mills and Briann Phillips; and great-grandchildren, Logan Mills, Lucas Mills, Parker Phillips, Eliza Mills, London Mills and Zoe Mills. A private family service for Mr. Mills will be held at a later date.
