Obituary for Terry West Sr Mr. Terry Joe West, Sr. January 15, 1945 – October 11, 2018 Mr. Terry Joe West, Sr., age 73, of Hampton, GA passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. Terry was born on January 15, 1945 in Atlanta, GA.

He was a veteran of the US Navy and served as a flight navigator during the Vietnam War. He loved NASCAR and baseball. He really enjoyed spending his time volunteering with Raceway Ministries, and watching his grandson’s baseball games.

Terry was a family man who loved spending time with his family, and he never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gloria Mae Ward West and Joseph Clifton West; son, Joshua West; and niece, Candace Cook. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Kellie and Wes Taylor; son, Terry Joe West, Jr. (Joey); mother of his children, Mary Mills; grandchildren, Kolton Ingram, Kody Ingram, Emily Taylor, Zach Taylor, Joey West, Katelyn West, Rebekah West, Trista West; great-grandchild, Valerie West; sister, Jean Cook; nieces, Connie Helms and Gloria Cook, nephew, Wesley Caudle; and special part of the family, Kevin Ingram and his son, Craig Ingram.

A visitation for Mr. Terry Joe West, Sr. will be held Tuesday, October 16, 2018, from 9:00 to 10:00 am at Hampton First Baptist Church with funeral services to follow. Pastor Craig McAdams and Dr. Glenn Anderson will officiate. Interment will be held at GA Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, GA at 1 pm.
