Obituary for Robert P Drake Jr Robert P. Drake Jr., age 37, of Toms River, born Oct. 16, 1980 passed away July 28, 2018, after a long battle with addiction. If anyone thinks that it can’t happen to them, read on.

Rob received his associates degree from Ocean County College and his BS degree from Stockton State College. He was the Principal Elections Manager for the Board of Elections in Toms River. For those that knew Rob, he had a smile that can light up a room, and a laugh that was contagious.

He was a loyal son, brother friend and father. He had a thirst for life and experiencing all that it had to offer. His addiction began shortly after his high school career with several attempts at overcoming this battle.

The last year, Rob had an experience with the 12 Steps that gave him the happiest time that he has had with his family. It is no secret that Rob’s love for the NY Yankees, Duke Blue Devils, and Miami Hurricanes were one of the many highlights of his life. Surviving are his two children, Makayla Marie, and River Cameron; parents Robert Sr. and Patricia; his brothers Ryan Evert and wife Joelle, and John Evert and wife Sommer.

Also surviving are his nieces Mila and Cassidy; nephew Loic, and his partner Debra Murphy. Visitation will be Thursday 2-4 PM and 6-9 PM at Carmona-Bolen Home For Funerals, 412 Main St. Toms River, NJ 08753.
