OBITUARY Robert Ray Theune May 3, 1940 – November 20, 2018 Bob was born in Fond du Lac, WI. After moving to Colorado Springs, he graduated from Colorado Springs High School in 1958 and joined the US Navy. He served 4 years in ‘the Aviation Branch as a radioman and Aviation Electronics Technician 2nd Class, stationed in Guam, San Diego and San Francisco.

Following his service, he returned to Colorado Springs and received his BA in Business Administration from The Colorado College. In 1967 he married Susan Lee Mench. He was employed as an Associate Accountant with Colorado Interstate Gas Company and in 1995 he retired as Director of Accounting.

Bob and Susan spent many summers as campground hosts in federal, state and county parks where they hiked, camped and sea kayaked in their spare time. They moved to Buffalo, WY in 2005 and returned to Colorado Springs in 2015. Bob served as treasurer for various organization as well as serving on several Boards of Directors.

Survivors include his wife, Susan, and his sister, Shirley DeBoer of Ripon, WI. Preceding him in death were his parents, Raymond Peter and Winnifred Baker Theune, long time residents of Colorado Springs. At the request of the family, no services are being held.
