Robert “Rob”‘s Obituary Robert C Jacobson Jr. (Rob), 64, of Mt. Pleasant, MI, went to be with Jesus early Sunday morning, January 20, 2019, at the Woodland Hospice House in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.

He was born March 3, 1954, in Devils Lake, ND, the son of Robert Sr. and Gladys (Beckstrand) Jacobson. Rob was raised and educated in Warwick, ND, where he later went on to Lake Region Community College. Rob moved to Mt Pleasant, Michigan, in 1975 and lived and worked in Mt Pleasant, Michigan, for the rest of his life.

Rob worked in the Mt Pleasant School Systems for 35+ years with most of his career at Pullen School. Rob retired 9 years ago and spent his time traveling back to the family farm in North Dakota. He also enjoyed taking care of his property which had a stocked fish pond which Rob was very proud of on this property outside of Mt.

Pleasant. Rob enjoyed visits from many dear friends around the community and participating in many of the Mt. Pleasant Community Church activities.

He taught 3-year-olds at Sunday School for years and said he “looked forward to that hour every Sunday morning”. Rob had a heart for missions and traveled with a ministry team to Moscow taking medical supplies and teddy bears to children. He also traveled with teams to build churches in Guatemala and Haiti.

Rob was an active community volunteer, a fixer, a master gardener and collector of books, knives and old tools. Rob enjoyed fishing, hunting, fixing anything and especially going to auction sales. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Rob especially liked teaching young children how to garden and plant vegetables and flowers. Rob will be remembered by his many funny stories and ability to fix anything. If there was any kind of thought or idea to do something a different way Rob would try it.

Rob is survived by his loving family: Mother: Gladys, Warwick, ND; Sister: Janel (Kent) McKinnon, Arizona City, AZ; Brothers: Corby, Sheyenne; ND; Quentin (Trish), Mesa, AZ; many nieces and nephews: Ryan (Karla), Kyle (Jane), Noel (Bo), Colin (Beth), Krystal (Nathan), Tiffany (Chris), Priscilla, Levi (Julie), Amber (Kevin), Michael (Devin), and many great loving close friends. Rob was preceded in death by: Robert Sr. Jacobson Sr. (Father), Ronald Jacobson (brother) and his Grandparents.
