Obituary for Robert S. Johnson Robert S. Johnson, 80, of Cheyenne passed away May 10th at Davis Hospice. He was born May 20, 1937 in Crawford, Nebraska. He enjoyed golfing, watching and playing sports, especially baseball and football.

He played quarterback in high school, and was known as “Rifle Arm Johnson”. He served in the U.S. Air Force, where he received air traffic control training and experience. Following his service in the Air Force, he began his over 30 year career as an air traffic controller with the FAA.

Robert is survived by his wife, Mary Johnson; two sons, Dane (Loni) Johnson and Craig (Stacey Bruce) Johnson; a granddaughter, Katy Salverson; two great-grandchildren, Keagan and Payton Fraley and nine siblings, Gerry Mass, Rev. Bill Johnson, Joan Walters, Shirley Shasteen, Nancy O’Connell, Ed Johnson, Kay Siebe, Ron Johnson and Annette Davis. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Scot Johnson; parents, Albert and Estella Johnson and a grandson, Kevin Salverson.
