Robert’s Obituary Robert “Cool V” Von Scott December 21, 1965 – February 9, 2019 Highland Falls, NY Robert “Cool V’ Von Scott, 53, beloved son, brother, father and uncle, entered into rest on Saturday, February 9, 2019. Robert is the son of Robert Scott and Yvonne (Bowman) Massingale, and step-father Fred Massingale. Robert graduated from Newburgh Free Academy and later pursued a career at USMA, West Point as a Recreational Operator Assistant.

Robert was an honorary member of the Army Football Brotherhood “Beat Navy” and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was loved by his family and his childhood friends, and will be truly missed. In addition to his parents, Robert is survived by his children, Robert V. Scott Jr. of Charlotte, NC and Acacia S. Scott of Spring Valley; siblings, Kenny Scott (Dee Dee) of Newburgh, Jarib Massingale (Daphny) of Nanuet, and Jocelyn Harvey (Earl) of Fayetteville, NC; grandchild Zy’meere Scott; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents William and Rebecca Scott; maternal grandparents Robert and Clara Bowman; and his sister Dana Scott. Memorial Visitation will be held from 1-3 pm on Friday, February 15 at Brooks Funeral Home 481 Gidney Ave. Newburgh.
