Robert Wayne Bristlin, 71 of Lisbon, ND died Friday, January 18, 2019 at the North Dakota Veterans Home, Lisbon, ND. Bob was born on August 16, 1947 in Wadena, Minnesota to Joyce Huus. He was raised and educated in Valley City, North Dakota by Joyce and Selmer Huus Sr. After graduating from Valley City High School, Bob enlisted in the United States Marine Corp.

in 1967 and served two years in Vietnam. Upon his return, Bob farmed for many years and worked as a supervisor for Service Master until his retirement in 2009. In 2005, Bob was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award as the Greatest Uncle in the world by his 80 plus nieces and nephews.

Bob loved spending time with them and treated them as his own children. He was known for being very caring, generous and was always caring for others. He will be deeply missed.

Bob is survived by his brothers, Kenneth Bristlin of Lisbon, ND; Steven Huus of Valley City, ND; Michael (Theresa) Huus of Austin, TX; Joseph Huus of New Salem, ND; Doran (Kathy) Huus of Mandan, ND; Timothy (Jaydeen) Huus of Mandan, ND; Duane Huus of Fessenden, ND; sisters, Deborah Huus-Petersen (Ronald Petersen) of Valley City, ND; Linda Bass of Fargo, ND; Jacqueline Huus (Vincent Herrera) of Round Rock, TX; Lorraine Mehus of Valley City, ND; Darlene Hanson of Bayfield, WI; numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Huus, step-father, Selmer Huus Sr., brother, Selmer Huus Jr., sisters, Muriel Bjerke and Elaine Kelley and one nephew, Matthew Huus.
