Robert’s Obituary Robert “Bob” William Buler, Sr., 67 of Paxton, was surrounded by his family when he went to heaven on Friday, March 8, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E Pells Street, Paxton. Burial will follow in the Danville National Cemetery, Danville with military honors.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, at the funeral home. Bob was born March 10, 1951 in Chester, Pennsylvania the son of Charles Kenneth and Rosemary Caughlin Buler. He married Sheryl Meadows June 1, 1974 in Suitland, Maryland.

She survives. Along with his wife Sheryl, he is survived by a daughter, Amy Lynn (Ryan) Galey of Paxton; two sons, Robert “Bobby” (Ginny) Buler, Jr. of Savoy, Andrew Charles Buler of Rantoul; five grandchildren, Lucy, Gina, Michael, Luke and Lilah; a brother, Charles (Maryellen) Buler of Suitland, Maryland; a sister, Margaret (Charles) Rogers of Mechanicsville, Maryland; two nephews, Jason (Beatrice) Rogers and Justin (Mary) Rogers and their children. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Phillip and John Joseph Buler and a niece, Theresa.

Bob graduated from Suitland High School, Suitland, Maryland in 1971 and went on to receive his HVAC certification. He served in the United States Army 1979-1992. He then became a project manager for housekeeping for shopping malls throughout the Midwest and East Coast.

After his career and having lived in numerous cities throughout the East Coast and Midwest, including Rantoul, he moved to Paxton in 2018. He was a former member of the Greenwood Baptist Church, Bowling Green, Kentucky where he accepted Christ. He was also a former member and deacon of the Pure Word Bible Church, Princess Anne, Maryland and this is where he created the monthly Free Dinner Program.

He was currently a member of the Faith Baptist Church, Champaign. Bob enjoyed classic cars especially the 55 Chevy and putting car models together. His love of the cowboy was evident in his western clothes apparel, watching all the classic TV Westerns and John Wayne movies.

Bob was a dedicated worker and was always ready to help anyone in need. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Carle Hospice. Condolences may be offered at www.
