Roberta Ann Perry December 22, 2018 Roberta “Buck” Perry, was born on August 20, 1956 in Chowan County. She was proceeded in death by both parents, Willie Percy Perry Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Riddick; daughter, Kenya D. Perry; brother Rodney Perry and nephew, DeShaun Perry. She transitioned on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Riverside Hospital in Newport News, Va.

due to natural causes. She attended the public schools of Chowan County. She worked as an CNA in the late 80’s and 90’s until she became disabled.

She had a sense of humor underneath all of that sarcasm she displayed. She didn’t discriminate against anyone, we were all victims who learned to accept her for her. She was one of a kind and you never knew what was going to come out of her mouth.

You were either going to laugh or leave the conversation thinking that lady crazy and who she think she talking to. Something was wrong if she wasn’t using profanity or hitting you with her cane “lol”. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Miller (Philip); son, Torianno “Ray” Perry; 6 sisters, Doris Cofield and Joyce Wilkins (Robert) both from Edenton, NC; Carolyn “Faye” Spellman from Elizabeth City; Debra Perry and Bernice “Beverly” Perry-Jones both from Norfolk, Va.

; Alice Howard from Hertford, NC; 4 brothers, Willie Perry Jr. (Ann) and David Bunch both from Edenton; Elgin “TT” Perry (Chenoa) from Norfolk, Va. ; Alexander Freeman from Colerain, NC. ; 8 grandkids; a lifetime companion of over 20 years, James Chevers and a host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be held Friday, December 29, 2018 from Noon until 6:00 pm at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the chapel.
