Roberta J. “Bobbe” Taylor (Schreyer), 86, of Laurel Maryland died on Monday November 12, 2018, after a two year battle with colon cancer. Bobbe was born September 24, 1932 to Walter and Leonia Schreyer in Roselle Park, NJ. She grew up in Roselle Park, New Jersey and lived briefly in Utah and Alexandria, Virginia before settling down in Laurel, Maryland to raise her family.

She worked for Arbitron ratings company where she was an account manager before retiring after 25 years there and she worked part-time after retirement as a receptionist at H.T. Brown real estate before settling into a full retirement. Bobbe enjoyed playing the piano, watching QVC, doing crossword puzzles, eating out, bowling and crabbing in her younger years, gardening, ceramics, traveling, vacationing at the beach and feeding the birds outside her home. By far, her favorite activity was to spend time with her family.

Bobbe is survived by her family who she loved so much, which included her daughter Diane (Jim): granddaughter Jennie Allen, grandson Daniel Allen; she is also survived by her daughter Pat: granddaughters Jessie and Angie Wallace, grandsons Robbie and Billy Wallace, and great grandsons Chase and Caiden, and new great granddaughter Madison; and she is survived by her son Steve (Kim) stepchildren include: Andrew, Joseph, and Laura along with step great-granddaughters Skyelyn and Alexa. She is also survived by two sisters Pat Ely (Al), Judy Klein and families. Bobbe had a way of making everyone feel loved and welcomed.

She tried to hide her pain so others wouldn’t worry about her. Bobbe put others first, always. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a giving personality.

She truly loved her family and loved to spend time with them. She was a wonderful mom, grandmother (known as Nana Bobbe), great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend and she was adored by all who knew her. There will never be another person like Bobbe Taylor and she leaves behind a hole in all our hearts.

She had written the following saying down on a piece of paper: “If you could live a thousand years, then my wish is to live a thousand years less a day so that I would not know the heartache that you had passed away”. We love you mom. The family will be host a “Celebration of Life” to honor Bobbe Taylor from Noon to 3PM, January 12, 2019 at Looneys Pub in Maple Lawn, MD- one of her favorite restaurants.
