Obituary for Roberta L. “Granny Roe” Payne Roberta L. “Granny Roe” Payne, a resident of Sulphur was born May 28, 1920 in Yeager,OK to Roy & Grace Robinson. She passed away Thursday December 13, 2018 at Sulphur,OK at the age of 98 years 6 months and 15 days. She grew up in Yeager, where she attended school.

She moved to Sulphur in 1952. Roe had worked al of her life, on the farm, and she owned the Dairy Princess in Sulphur for over 30 years. She loved to keep babies, and kept the Church Nursery was also a baby sitter for years.

She was a good artist, her paintings are beautiful. She was a good mother and friend. Roe took care of her mother when she was in the Nursing Home and she was the Boss!

She was a member of Crossway Baptist Church, the church-widow web, and Artist of the Arbuckles. She was preceded in death by by her parents: Roy & Grace Robinson, Sister: Wilma Robinson, Brother: Jack Robinson, Son-in-law: Buddy Rogers. She is survived by her: Daughters & son-in-law: Barbara Woods & David, of Sulphur, OK Peggy Rogers, of Corona, CA Brother, Benny Ray Robinson & wife Vada, of Del City, OK Sister-in-law: April Robinson of Victoria,TX 7 Grandchildren, Larry Rogers & Deana, Belinda Blalock & Terry, Pam Woods, Michael Rogers & Gloria, Dana Rico & James, Kim Roth & Chris and Kristin Woods 8 Great Grandchildren, Several Great Great Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Gary Bell, Arleigh Wallis, Rick McNeil, Keith Mann, Russell Watson, and R C Elliott. Services will be held Thursday December 20, 2018 at 11:00AM at Crossway Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Bill Leveridge.
