He was a lifelong resident of Corpus Christi, Texas and former truck driver and heavy equipment operator. Roberto is preceded in death by his wife: JoAnn G. Garcia; parents: Jose and Leonor Garcia; and sister: Elva Vargas. Survivors include sons: Jose R. Garcia (Alba) and Jaime D. Garcia (Mariana); daughter: Lydia K. Garcia (Rianard); grandchildren: Joe R. Alvarez; Alexis A. Alvarez; Lillyanna M. Garcia; Daniella J. Garcia; Mathew A. Garcia; Jaime D. Garcia, Jr.; Jorge G. Garcia and Jesus N. Garcia; brothers: Joe Garcia (Mary); Arnulfo Garcia; Febronio Garcia (Lydia) and Jesse Garcia (Rosie) all of Corpus Christi, Texas; and sister: Mary Ann Cruz.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2018, 4:00 PM, at Resthaven Funeral Home, Sinton. A rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. Chapel services will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2018, 10:00 AM, at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton.
