Sinton – Adela M. Chapa passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 15, 2018. She was 91. Adela was born in Shiner, Texas on March 29, 1927 to Domingo and Teofila (Ortiz) Martinez.

She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Sinton, Texas. Adela was a faithful Jehovah’s Witness for 57 years. Preceding in death is her husband: Carlos Chapa; and sons: David, Carlos, Jr. and Adam Chapa.

Survivors include sons: Daniel Chapa of Sinton, Texas and Abel Chapa of Colorado; daughters: Esther Perez and Eva Mooney, both of Littlefield, Texas; Elsa Garcia of Edroy, Texas and Celeste Avalos of Sinton, Texas; 32 grandchildren: 43 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren; brothers: Andres Martinez of Sinton, Texas and Aladino Martinez of Corpus Christi, Texas; and sister: Amelia Sorrel of Dallas, Texas. A Memorial Talk will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018, 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Sinton, Texas. Guestbook available online at www.
