Roberto Nicolas (Nick) Escobar died peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on February 3, 2019 at the age of 52. Nick was born on September 6, 1966 in Sunnyside, WA to Jose Luis and Aurora Escobar. He graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1984 and later attended Columbia Basin College and Central Washington University.

He was also a dedicated member of the Catholic Church, making sure to attend no matter where he was in the world. While in High School Nick excelled in both basketball and football. Nick made lifelong friends who became like family to him.

He never ceased to amaze us with his ability to recollect names and events. When out and about with Nick and no matter where you were it was not surprising that he would run into someone he knew. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Nick loved sports and in particular the Rams and the Dodgers. He enjoyed golfing, but by far his favorite was attending a Dodgers game in person. Nick was there for anyone who needed anything at anytime.

He was a great son, brother, uncle and friend. Nick will be missed greatly by his family and friends. Nick is survived by his father, Jose Luis Escobar of Sunnyside, WA and five siblings, Juanita (Juan) Aguilar of Lynnwood, WA; Joe (Paulette) Escobar Jr. of Sunnyside, WA; Mike (Karen) Escobar of Everette, WA; Angela (Mario) Flores of Sunnyside, WA; Lisa (Jorge) Castillo of Sunnyside, WA.

Five great nieces and nephews, Isabela Martinez, Elena Martinez, Emilio Flores, Aurora Escobar, Alysia Flores.
