Obituary for Rod Cartee Rod Cartee, 64, of Fort Dodge, died October 19, 2018 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home, following a 13 year battle with cancer. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 22, 2018 at Gunderson Funeral Chapel with visitation held one hour prior to the service. Roderick Hugh Cartee, the son of Robert and Alice (Palmer) Cartee, was born Oct.

31, 1953. He attended Fort Dodge Senior High School. Rod served 6 years in the Air National Guard.

He was a master of all trades. Loved time with his family, fishing, hunting and gardening. Rod was married to Katheryn Slagle and they later divorced.

He was married to Cindy Johnson and they later divorced. Survivors include his sons, Sean (Becky) Cartee, Ashton (Melann) Ellis, Cody (Tiffany) Cartee; 5 grandchildren; his siblings, Suzette (David) Rosen and Reggie (Valerie Neet), step-mother Linda Cartee, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law Bill Koller.
