Member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. Beloved father of Mallory Barrett and Jessica Barrett Hukhan. Cherished grandpa of Anthony and Tatiana.

Dear son of Kathleen (nee Hughes) and the late Floyd Barrett. Loving brother of Karen (William) Stevens, Kim Scalise (Mark Wright) and Steven (Heather) Bline. Devoted uncle of Kathleen (Brian) Goodwin, Erin (David) Prokop, Bridget Stevens, Eileen (Matthew) Murlasits, Brittany (Ryan) Strauss, Teresa Scalise, Francesco Scalise , Thomas Wright and Layna Bline Longtime companion of Tina Gillham.

Rod lovd the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He will be greatly missed by his best friend Shelby Doss Visitation Sunday 3-8pm Funeral Service Monday 12:00pm at the Maher Funeral Home 17101 71st Ave Tinley Park Il. Interment with full Military Honors Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
