Obituary of Rodney Smith Rodney Sherman Smith, age 77, a resident of Talladega, Alabama, died Saturday, January 19, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family. Rodney was born on June 9, 1941 in Clay County, Alabama to the late Martin Lawrence Smith and Gladys Mae Nelson Smith. He is survived by his mother; his loving wife of 60 years, Alma Jeanette Jones Smith, and his children: Donna Smith Kenny; Rodney Steve (Lindy) Smith; and Larry (Marie) Smith; five grandchildren: Derek Vickrey, Brandon Vickrey, Ross Smith, Austin Smith and Madison Smith; 6 great-grandchildren, his sister, Bonnie (Travis) Oglesby and many loving nieces, nephews and relatives.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Tuesday January 22, at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Pine Hill Memorial Park. His Family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00pm at funerall home on Tuesday. Serving as pallbearers will be Austin Smith, Ross Smith, Mike Weaver, Mike Parton, Johnny Parton and Russ Parton.
