Obituary for Rodolfo R. “Rudy” Cantu Our beloved husband and father, Rodolfo R. “Rudy” Cantu passed into the arms of our loving Savior on Saturday, September 15, 2018. He was born in San Antonio to Margarita and Rodolfo Cantu. He is preceded in death by his parents; his children, Steven Cantu and Jennifer Adkins; and his sister, Margaret Sifuentes.
He is survived by his wife, Sheri; his children, Julian, Rose and David Cantu; his grandchildren, Jackson and Hayden; his sister, Mary Cortez; and many other family members and friends. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and attended St. Mary’s University where he was a member of the Rho Beta Fraternity. He retired from Civil Service at Kelly AFB.
Rudy was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus and was a past Grand Commander of the Order of the Alhambra Bejar Caravan 56. Rudy will be remembered for his fantastic bar-b-que and his love of hosting family and friends at his home; he was always ready for a party. Other memories include going out to the Camacho Ranch as much as possible and enjoying fishing and golfing expeditions with his frat brothers.
Rudy also got together frequently with his elementary classmates from Sacred Heart Catholic School. His sense of humor and loving heart will be dearly missed by everyone. SERVICES Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M. followed by a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North, 3401 Cherry Ridge Drive.
The Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, October 1, 2018 at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 10703 Wurzbach Road.
