STOW Roger A. Guthman, 64 years of age, passed away Sunday March 10, 2019 in Akron, Ohio. Born on October 30, 1954 in Elyria, Ohio, he was the son of the late Raymond C. and Helen E. (Yourkuitich) Guthman. A longtime Akron area resident, he grew up in Elyria where he was a 1973 graduate of Elyria High School.

He then attended Lorain County Community College graduating in 1984, and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. Roger had been employed as a molding supervisor at Poly Case in Avon, Ohio. An avid NASCAR fan, he also enjoyed camping and hiking.

For those who knew Roger, he will always be remembered as a kind hearted man who will truly be missed. Survivors include his son James R. Guthman of California; brother Clifford Guthman; and his good and loving friends Wendy (Jim) Hunt of Kent. No calling hours or services.

Cremation has been held. Roger donated to Life Bank for Multiple Sclerosis Education and Awareness. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Multiple Sclerosis.
