Obituary for Roger Ansley Roger Ansley, age 70 of Cornelia, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018. Born in Habersham County, Georgia on June 24, 1948, he was a son to the late Charles Edward Ansley and Leona Wade Ansley Jones. Mr. Ansley retired from the Georgia Department of Corrections with many years of service.

He was also a retired farmer and member of Level Grove Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was the father-in-law to the late Margaret Loudermilk Ansley. Surviving are his wife, Wilma Loudermilk Ansley of Cornelia; son, Charlie Ansley of Cornelia; grandchildren, Ashlee Sisavath, Justin Ansley, C.J. Ansley and Mea Ansley; great-grandchildren, Ariel Sisavath, Aaliyah Sisavath, & Niya Sisavath, brother and sister-in-law, Wayne & Shelia Ansley of Cornelia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie & Sammy Beck, of Cornelia; and Nancy & Jerry Tanksley of Martin; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm, Monday, October 15, 2018 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Brian James and Rev. Terry Rice officiating.

Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from noon until the funeral hour on Monday at the funeral home.
