Ron Gramling, age 67, of Adrian passed away on June 5th, 2018. He was born on July 25, 1950 in Paragould, Arkansas and attended Adrian Public Schools. He attended Adrian College and served in the Army during the Vietnam War.

Ron was a long-time teacher at Adrian Public Schools where he taught 4th, 5th & 6th grades, before becoming an elementary principal. Ron loved his family, teaching, motorcycling, road trips, fixing up and showing classic cars, taking a different route every time, his hometown and being a husband / father / new grandfather. His ever-present smile and good nature brought joy to many around him, and his clever wit and corny jokes were a pleasure to behold.

He was warm-hearted and generous. Survived by his wife, Sharon, his two children Adam (Kate) and Amy, two siblings Brad (Karen) and Tami, and one grandchild, Molly Rose. He was preceded in death by his parents R.T. and Louise Gramling and his sister Sandy.

Funeral Services will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, June 10, 2018, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Pastor Larry Betz officiating. Visitation will also be on Sunday from 2:00 PM until the time of service at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
