Doris Eileen Oard, age 76, of Morenci, MI, passed away, July 14, 2018, at Toledo Hospital. Doris was born in Britton, MI, on April 26, 1942, to Phoebe (Whipple) & Leonard Cundiff. She married Orville “Pete” Oard on December 14, 1957, in Hudson, MI.

Doris attended Sand Creek Schools. She worked at Fayette Tubular in earlier years, but preferred being a homemaker, raising her son and twin daughters. She was a member of Weston Baptist Church.

Doris enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving Doris is her husband of 60 years Pete, son, James (Martha) Oard of Morenci, daughter, Brenda at home, four grandchildren, James Oard Jr., Amanda Teel, Larry Bell and Robert Bell and eight great grandchildren. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Cindy Bell, brother, Darold Cundiff, sisters, Dorothy Richardson, Delores Cleghorn and Della Shoemaker, two sisters and one brother in infancy and one great granddaughter at birth.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Pastor Duane Cross & Pastor Dan Maguire both officiating. Private burial will follow in Lyons Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI.
