Frances M. Saunders, age 85, of Clayton, MI, passed away on June 29, 2018, at Chelsea Community Hospital. She was born on September 16, 1932 in Decatur, Illinois to Raymond and Bernadine Lechleiter. She married William Saunders on January 26, 1952, in Blissfield, Michigan.

Frances grew up in Decatur, Illinois and attended St. Teresa High School. Upon graduation she enlisted in the W.A.C.’s where she met her husband upon his return from Korea. She was a secretary in the Secretary General’s Office in Chicago.

Surviving are two sons, Howard “Butch” Saunders and Alan (Kristi) Saunders and two grandchildren, Katelan and Adam Saunders. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents, and brother, Larry Lechleiter. Cremation has taken place.
