Ronald A. Morter, age 79, formerly of Logansport, passed away at 12:32 p.m., on Monday, December 17, 2018, at The Waterford at Edison Lakes, Mishawaka. Born in Logansport on October 16, 1939, he was the son of Harry and Mary White Morter. Ron retired in November, 1994, after 31 years at Conrail, where he was a Signalman.

He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen, Local # 45. He loved living and fishing on the St. Joe River. Surviving are brother, Robert J. (Peggy) Morter, Mishawaka; sister, Betty J. (David) Fudge, Lakeland, Florida, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding in death were brothers, Harry E. Morter and James L. Morter. The graveside service will be on Thursday, December 20, 2018, at 9:30 a.m., at Mount Hope Cemetery Chapel, with Fr. Gustavo Lopez officiating.

Interment will follow. Kroeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
