Obituary for Ronald Emmette Cannon Mr. Ronald Emmette Cannon, 66, of Jena, Florida, passed away June 24, 2018. Mr. Cannon was born on October 12, 1951 in Pasco County, Florida, to Emmett and Margaret Brown Cannon. He lived most of his life in Tampa, Florida and for 17 years vacationed in Jena before moving there 2 years ago.

He was the owner and operator of Ron Cannon Equipment Company, Inc. in Tampa. Mr. Cannon served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion Post 291 in Steinhatchee. Mr. Cannon is survived by his wife of 27 years Rhonda Cannon of Jena; sons, Tom Cannon and Danny Brightwell (Tracey); brothers, David, “Shorty”, and Danny; sisters, Joann and Margaret, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by son Charlie Cannon and brothers Felton and Donald. Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 1:00pm at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Steinhatchee.
