Obituary for Edwin “Ed” Sroka Edwin “Ed” Lee Sroka, 60, of Alachua passed away June 2, 2018. Edwin was born March 2, 1958 to the late Edward and Ruth Sroka in Gainesville, Florida, but had lived in the Alachua area for over 34 years after moving here from Gainesville. He worked for 30 years as a Realtor at Horizon Realty of Alachua.

Edwin was a current member of Summit Baptist Church in High Springs, the Alachua Chamber of Commerce, the Alachua Lions Club, the Alachua Business League, and the local Bass Club. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. Edwin is survived by his wife Joan Sroka, his son David Carter of Gainesville, his daughters Theresa Stride of Alachua and Stacy Sroka of High Springs, his brother Edward Sroka of Gainesville, his grandchildren Emmalyn Stride, Mauricio Carter, Nicholas Carter, and Jeremy Carter, and other extended family members.

Funeral services for Edwin will be as follows: The viewing will be at 9:00 AM and the Funeral Service at 10:00 AM Saturday June 9, 2018 at Summit Baptist Church located at 18915 NW US Hwy 441 in High Springs, with Pastor Spencer Corbett officiating. Burial will follow at Orange Hill Cemetery in Williston, Florida located at 17529-17699 NE 35th St Williston, FL 32696. A private family lunch to follow the burial.
