Obituary for Dalton E. Howell Dalton Eugene Howell, 83, of Cross City passed away September 11, 2018. Mr. Howell was born May 31, 1935 to the late James and Lula Howell in Andalusia, AL, but had lived in the Cross City area since 1980, after moving here from Alabama. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps and retired as a Corrections Officer from Cross City Correctional Institution.

Mr. Howell was of the Baptist Faith and was a huge Gator fan. Mr. Howell is survived by his wife of 31 years Linda Howell, a son David Rhodes, a daughter Susan Nettles (Wendell), eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and other extended family members. Funeral services for Mr. Howell will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home Cross City Chapel.

Interment will follow at Cross City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6 – 8 PM. Arrangements have been placed under the care of Rick Gooding Funeral Home, Cross City, FL 352-498-5400 and Chiefland, FL 352-493-0050.
