Obituary for Lanny Ross It is with sadness in our hearts that we share the news that Lanny Ross passed away on November 12, 2018 after a year-long battle with cancer. Lanny was born in Ocilla, Georgia and preceded in death by his parents Leon Carroll and Mattie Sue Ross. He is survived by his son Payton (Karen), his grandson Lane, his sister Libby McNeill (Kenny), his brother Johnny (Carol), his nieces and nephews (Carol Ann McNeill, Mac McNeill (Cate), and Brooke McNeill (Otto)), and his daughter-in-law Cindy Higginbotham.

Lanny retired from CSX in 2015 after 42 years of service and he worked with the fine men and women with the City of High Springs for the last year. Lanny loves his family and friends and was incredibly happy enjoying his porch. It only seems fitting to have a celebration of his life where he loved to be- Join us at Lanny’s house on Monday, November 19 at 2pm.
