Obituary for William “Bill” H. Rizer William H. Rizer, 80 of Steinhatchee passed away October 30, 2018. Mr. Rizer was born December 1, 1937 to the late William S. and Sallie Mae Rizer in Lake Alfred, FL. He had lived in Steinhatchee for a little over a year after moving here from Blue Ridge, GA.

Mr. Rizer was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cross City, had been a Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Blue Ridge for over 20 years, and had been active with Gideons International for several years while in Blue Ridge. He had retired from Martin Marietta in Orlando. Mr. Rizer was an avid Gator fan and liked to hunt, fish, and watch football in his spare time.

Mr. Rizer is survived by his wife of over 57 years Terry Rizer, his son Doug Rizer (Meridith), his daughters Cathie Brazell (David) and Melinda Stokes (Eric), his sister Annette Taylor, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and other extended family members. Graveside services for Mr. Rizer will be held 4:00 PM Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Waters Memorial Gardens outside of Steinhatchee, with Pastor Mike Brown officiating. Arrangements have been placed under the care of Rick Gooding Funeral Home Cross City, Florida 352-498-5400 and Chiefland, Florida 352-493-0050.
