Funeral Services for Ronald Faus will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Horber Funeral Chapel in Las Animas, Colorado with Pastor Rod Coulter officiating. Per Ronald’s request, cremation will follow the service and inurnment will take place at a later date. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Horber Funeral Chapel.

Ronald Gene Faus was born on March 1, 1950 in Las Animas, Colorado to Willard “Jack” and Reita (Byers) Faus. He graduated from Las Animas High School in 1969. Ronald worked at NIBCO and Bent County Road and Bridge until opening up his own automotive garage, Faus Car Care in 1983 which he continued operating for over 35 years until his passing.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, farming, bees, the outdoors and was a member of the Colorado Walleye Association. Ronald passed away on February 28, 2019 at Arkansas Regional Medical Center at the age of 68. Ronald is survived by his mother, Reita Faus of Las Animas, Colorado; children, Vern Faus of Las Animas, Colorado, Jennifer (Randy) Foxhoven of Cheraw, Colorado, and Reita (Will) Yuhas of Las Animas, Colorado; siblings, Sam (Helen) Faus of Denver, Colorado, Herb (Pat) Faus of La Junta, Colorado, and Reba (Jerry) VanEgmond of Las Animas, Colorado; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; many other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willard “Jack” Faus; brother, John Faus, and grandson, Jonathan Faus. Memorial contributions may be made to the Las Animas High School Athletic Program in care of Horber Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 431, Las Animas, Colorado, 81054.
