Ronald Clyde Hasten, Lakeland, passed away April 22, 2018 at age 81. He was born on December 22, 1936 in St. Louis, MO. Ronald grew up in Springfield, Il where he met and married his childhood sweetheart, Alice M. Hasten.

Ronald and Alice were married for 55 years. Ronald and his family moved to Florida in 1965 where he pursued a career in finance and real estate. After moving to Lakeland, Ronald opened Action Properties-Century 21 before starting Family Insurance Centers in 1984.

He was a founding member of Highlands Church of Christ and active in the church for 40 years. Ronald is preceded in death by his wife, Alice. He is survived by his son Ronald Wayne, 2 daughters, Lynnel Hopkins and Beth Guskay (John); 3 grandchildren, Veronica Hasten, Daniel Guskay (Amy Nicole) and Amy Myers (Paul); 6 great grandchildren, Chloe Myers, Alice Myers, Brooke Myers, Tripp Howerton, Eva Marie Guskay, Jace Guskay.

Services will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 @ 1:00 p.m. at Highlands Church of Christ. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Bibles for Honduras. Donations can be mailed to Highlands Church of Christ 5730 Lakeland Highlands Road, Lakeland, Florida 33813.
