Obituary for Ronald Lee Vass Ronald Lee Vass, age 68, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at his home. Graveside services for Ron will be 2 pm Monday, June 18, 2018 at the Texas Veterans Cemetery, 7457 West Lake Rd. , Abilene, Texas.

Ron was born September 1, 1949 in New Albany, IN to Calvin Reed and Claudina Helen Wolfe Vass. He grew up in Indiana and attended college before being asked to join the US Army August 11, 1969. Ron was proud to have served during the Vietnam War.

After his service to his county, Ron became a Truck Driver and spent 18 years driving for several companies. Ronald is survived by his son, Dustin Vass of Eastland, daughter, Melissa Panzera and husband Chris of Galveston, brother, Dan Vass and wife Susan of Columbus, IN, sisters; Eileen Mankin and husband Don of Clifton, IN, Barbara Vass of Columbus, Jeanette Teltoe and husband Randy of Trafalgar, IN, and his precious grandchildren, Aubree Vass, Jacob Vass, Calieb Panzera, Ashlyn Panzera and Tayte Panzera and his great-grandson, Cash Nixon.
