Ronald J Reichley, age 79, born into temporal life on May 25, 1939 and born into eternal life on February 1, 2019. Devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Member of St Catharine’s Parish for 50 years.

Employee of Lucent Technologies for over 41 years. Lived his life full of J-O-Y (Always put JESUS first, OTHERS second and YOURSELF third). Cherished time with each member of his family.

He enjoyed watching sports and was a huge Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Browns fan. He loved to cut his lawn and tend to his tomato plants (was the farmer in him). Also couldn’t pass up a trip to Scioto Downs or a chance to scratch off a lottery ticket.

Loved his naps and he never, ever met a stranger! Above all, he treasured his relationship with Jesus and was so appreciative and thankful of the many blessings that came with a very large family. He left his mark on our hearts forever.

He embodied righteousness, goodness and kindness throughout his entire life. Those who came in contact with him were impacted in a Godly way. He was one of a kind.

Preceded in death by the love of his life and spouse of over 42 years, Maryann (‘mother dear’). Also preceded in death by his loving father and mother, Joseph and Helen (‘dad and mom’). Survived by his four sons: Joseph (Tara), Daniel (Susan), Andrew and Mark (Betsy) and by his three daughters: Barbara Allen (Paul), Julie Winchell (Joe) and Sara Reichley (Byron).

Also survived by twelve adoring grandchildren and two great grandchildren as well as three brothers, five sisters and several in-laws, nieces and nephews. The family requests omission of flowers and instead strongly encourages donations to the Open Shelter, 61 E Mound St, Columbus, Ohio 43215 or to the Mid Ohio Food Bank, 3960 Brookham Dr, Grove City, Ohio 43213. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, February 4th from 3-6 at Egan Ryan Funeral Home Downtown Chapel, 403 E Broad St. Rosary, in honor of Ron’s life, at 2:30p.
