Ronald’s Obituary Ronald Wayne Steele, age 83, Grove, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019 at a local rehabilitation center after a short illness. Ron was born June 25, 1935 in Oak Grove, Florida, son of the late Brady R. Steele and Nanie B. Beasley Steele. He grew up in Alabama, and graduated from Atmore High School in Atmore, Alabama.

He served in the United States Marine Corp where he was with the Military Police. After his service with the Marines, he moved to California where he worked for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department for over 30 years before retiring. He then opened restaurants in Chino, California before moving to Oklahoma in 1991.

He and his wife owned and operated Lakeside Restaurant in Grove until retiring again in 2004. He was a member of Cornerstone Church in Grove. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by a brother, Alton Steele.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Eileen Steele; daughter, Deborah Reagan of Grove; sons, Anthony Blaine Steele and wife Jane, and Michael Wayne Steele and wife Laurie all of Cortez, Colorado; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Jean Ward and husband Jack of Atmore, Alabama. Memorial services will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Cornerstone Church of Grove. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
