Obituary for Ronnie Joseph Navarro Mr. Ronald Joseph Navarro, “Mex Man” to his friends and “Papo” to his grandchildren passed away Saturday evening at his home in Butte. He was born in Butte December 28, 1957 to Joseph and Thelma (Kenney) Navarro. He attended St. Joseph’s Grade School, Boy’s Central as well as Montana Tech for a short time.

He and Dori Guindon were married in Butte but later divorced. They remained close friends. On March 11, 1997 Ronnie married Lynnie J. Collins.

Ronnie worked as a front-end manager for twelve years at Albertsons and Stokes. He had also worked as a bartender at the Scoop Thirst Parlor, was a guard at the Montana State Prison and worked at Wal-Mart. Ronnie as an avid pool and dart player and took first place in the Harrison Avenue Open.

He served as Vice-President for the Butte Independent Pool League, was an avid San Francisco 49’ers fan, loved camping with his family and friends and enjoyed playing softball. He is preceded in death by his sons Michael Navarro and Jason Gifford. Ronnie is survived by his wife, Lynnie Navarro of Butte, his daughter and son-in-law, Jeanie and Steve Johnson of Lost Creek, grandchildren: Marcus Rashleigh, Rylee Jo Johnson, Zachary Johnson, Anthony Gifford, Glenn Gifford and Jason Gifford Jr., Ron Navarro, Andrew Dillon and Alexis King.

Also surviving are his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ron and Jennie Collins of Butte, Sandy and Jim Osborne of Butte and Frankie Becky of Denver. Other survivors include his former wife and her husband, Dori and Pat LaFleur of Butte, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and countless friends.
