Obituary for Rosalie C. Lueken Dateline Jasper, IN Rosalie C. Lueken, age 88, of Birdseye, passed away at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 2, 2018, at Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper, Indiana. Rosalie was born in Siberia, Indiana, on October 5, 1929, to Leo and Helen (Beyke) Elmer. She married Wilfred Lueken on May 9, 1950, in St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Siberia, Indiana.

He preceded her in death on August 29, 1984. She was a farmwife and homemaker and later worked at Tri-Kap and helped to organize blood drives for the Red Cross in the area. She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish – Sacred Heart Campus.

She enjoyed gardening, flowers, reading, quilting, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving three daughters, Ruth Goldman, Birdseye, IN, Mary Jo (John) Theising, Birdseye, IN, Janice (Dr. Bernard Jr.) Kemker, Jasper, IN, three sons, Kenneth (Carol) Lueken, Hatfield, MO, Paul (Geriann) Lueken, Birdseye, IN, Dennis (Jackie) Lueken, Birdseye, IN, 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one brother, Melvin (Viola) Elmer, Jasper, IN. Preceding her in death besides her husband are one son-in-law, Reiss Goldman.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Rosalie C. Lueken will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. service time on Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Schnellville, Indiana. In lieu of flowers or memorial gifts, memorial contributions may be made to Northwood Retirement Community for the wonderful, loving care she received.
