Rosanne Harmon January 13, 1925 – March 21, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Rosanne Morgan Harmon of Vardaman passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 13, 1925 to Julian Earl Morgan, Sr. and Margaret Inmon Morgan in Vardaman, she was 94. After attending Blue Mountain College, Rosanne would eventually begin a career with the U.S. Postal Service, retiring after 25 years service as a Postal Clerk.

An active member of Midway Baptist Church, she devoted her time and energy to the church ministry and church family programs. A homemaker at heart, Rosanne had a passion for making her mark on her home with yard work, decorating, or just simply rearranging the furniture in order to make a comfortable space for her family. Active in many ways with family and friends, she will be missed by all.

Rosanne leaves behind Son, John Michael (Amy) Harmon of Vardaman; Daughters, Rosemarie (Jerry) Poyner of Grenada and Julia (Donald) Scott of Olive Branch; Brothers, Julian E. (Ann) Morgan, Jr. of Memphis, Sam (Nancy) Morgan of Memphis, and R. E. (Barbara) Morgan of Vicksburg; Sisters, Carolyn Mobley of Paris, TN, Jane Hayes of Memphis, and Elizabeth Browning of Masonic Home, KY; Grandchildren, Brian (Terry) Poyner, Lisa Sisson, Stacy Neal, Michelle (Greg) Johnson, Jonathan Harmon, and Hunter Harmon; and 8 Great-Grandchildren. There will be an evening visitation with the family on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Vardaman from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A funeral service celebrating Rosanne’s life will be held at Midway Baptist Church starting at 2:00 pm.

The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the start of the service. Brother Al Gaspard and Dr. Gary Roberson will lead services with prayers and words of comfort. Following funeral services on Sunday afternoon, Rosanne will be laid to eternal rest in Midway Cemetery.

Serving the family as Pallbearers will be Hunter Harmon, Jonathan Harmon, Greg Johnston, Gregory Johnston, Harrison Johnston, Bart Neal, Brian Poyner, and Josh Poyner. Rosanne was preceded in death by her Mother and Father; Husband John Oren Harmon; and Sister Charlotte Morgan. Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce and Vardaman is honored to be entrusted by the Harmon family in helping to make arrangements honoring Rosanne’s life.
