Obituary for Rose Barnett Rose May Barnett a resident of Henryetta passed this life on October 8, 2017 in Tulsa at the age of 86. Born April 10, 1931 to Gene and May (McClaskey) DeCobert. She married Robert “Bob” Barnett on March 31, 1948 in San Antonio, TX and followed him on many pipeline jobs.
Rose had many hobbies which included her many flowers gardens, painting, cooking Sunday dinners, hunting and fishing. She was an entrepreneur, previously being a taxidermist, owner of Rose Garden flower shop and later Rose Garden Mexican Restaurant where for many years she sold homemade tamales. She was a member of the “OES”, Oklahoma Eastern Star.
Rose is preceded in death by her parents, son; James Barnett, daughter; Susan Manis, brother; Gene DeCobert and a grandson Ace Manis. Survived by her husband Bob of the Home Grandchildren: Leyah and husband Kenny Britt of Henryetta, Amy Barnett of Jenks, Billy Smock of Payden and Darcy and husband Todd Hunter of Henryetta Great Grandchildren: Todd Hunter Jr, Nicole Hunter, Kelby Morgan, Daisy VanMeter, Jessica Britt, Phoenix Britt, Kade Britt and Gryphon Britt Great Great Grandchildren: Wyatt Stange, Chazlynn Owen, Bristal Britt, Harper Britt, and Brecken Britt. Host of Nieces and Nephews Memorial can be made to the Tulledega Lodge #201, Scholarship Fund, PO Box 956, Henryetta, OK 74437 Memorial service will be 10:30 am, Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the Rogers Funeral Home Chapel.
