Obituary Service Details Rosemary F. Stangle, age 94 of Pineville, Louisiana, formerly of Olney, passed away at 6:35 PM on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Summit Nursing Home in Alexandria, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 7-9 PM, on Friday, June 8, 2018, in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10 AM on Saturday, June 9, 2018 in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney. Pastor Tim Bursott will be officiating. Rosemary was born on May 7, 1924 in Stringtown, the daughter of Anthony and Clara (Sager) Roth.
She later married Kenneth A. Stangle Sr. in June of 1942. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Olney and recently of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of Pineville, Louisiana. She has been a member of the Women of the Moose since 1963.
She was recorder of the Olney Chapter of the Women of the Moose for many years. She was the Deputy Grand Region for the State of Illinois in 1976-1977. She had transferred to the Albion Women of the Moose Lodge.
She was also a member of the Women’s Auxiliaries of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Olney Eagles Lodge. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Rosemary is survived by 2 sons, Charles Martin Stangle (Sharon) of Pineville, LA and Kenneth Allen Stangle Jr. of Olney; brother, Elvan Roth of California; 5 grandchildren, Brian Allen Stangle of Olney, Julie Ann Stangle of Olney, Jason Eric Stangle of LA, Jeremy Paul Stangle of LA and Donald ‘Scott’ Robertson of LA; 6 great-grandchildren, Kevin Allen Stangle, Austin Wayne Childers, Amber Lynn Colgrove, Hailee Briane Stangle, Jasie Ann Stangle, and Katharine Olivia Robertson; 4 great-great-grandchildren, Clalista Jade Stangle, Sophia Jade Nunn, Delilah Anabelle Childers, and Victor Gray Colgrove; 2 special friends Nancy Stangle of Olney and Stacie Stangle of Christopher, IL She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Kenneth A. Stangle Sr., parents Anthony and Clara Roth, 2 brothers Ernest and Lawrence Roth and sister Bernice Ochs and infant sister Hilda Roth.
