Rosetta “Rosie” Vice, age 94, passed away peacefully of natural causes on July 9, 2018. Rosie was born to Charles and Pearl Murphy on October 26, 1923 in Great Falls MT. She married Eugene “Gene” Vice on September 18, 1940.

She often said that Gene was the only man she ever dated. They were married for 73 years. Rosie was no stranger to hard work.

She worked for the Great Falls Tribune for many years. In addition to working outside her home, she and Gene built and/or remodeled many houses. She drove the tractor, milked the cows, planted a garden all while sewing beautiful clothes for her three children.

No task was too difficult for her to master. Rosie was an avid fisherman and hunter. She loved to bowl, camp, play cards, crochet, and knit.

Family activities were a priority. She is survived by her three children: Shirley Collins (Rich Myers) of Overland Park, Kansas, Jeanne (Larry)Johns of Helena, Montana, and Allen (Robin) Vice of Great Falls Montana; six grandchildren Nicole Elespuru, Todd Vice, Heather Smith, Stephanie Klepzig, Tawni Bryan, and Kimberly O’Neal and 13 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, six siblings, and one granddaughter.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be announced at a later date.
