OBITUARY Roy Henry Wilson December 14, 1929 – November 18, 2018 Roy Henry Wilson, age 88 of Birmingham passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018. He was retired from Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel and Ridout’s Valley Chapel. Roy was also retired from the Alabama Air National Guard after 34 years of service.

During that time he served in the Bay of Pigs invasion and received the Medal of Valor for his service. He also received a Presidential Citation for his involvement in the Atomic Project in the Marshall Islands. Roy was also a Mason at Dolcita Lodge #596, the Zamora Temple, York and Scottish Rite.

Past President International Association of Shrine Motor Corps, Past President of Southeastern Association Order of the Q. Survivors include his daughters: Michelle Wilson Reeves and Lisa Jimmerson; son, Roy Michael Wilson (Monique); 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; brother, Joe Wilson (Faye); and many nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 26, 2018 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 until 6:00 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel.
