Roy was born January 23, 1930 in Newman, the son of Lemuel and Eva (Nickolson) Wilcoxon. He married Charlotte B. He is survived by sons, Roy P. Wilcoxon of Urbana and Richard I. Wilcoxon of Urbana, nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. His work included Vern Scott Drainage, working with longtime friend, Tom Bridwell and ending his career retiring from A & R Services. Roy’s family was his prized treasure and he proved it everyday in his example as a husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed dearly by his family but we take comfort in knowing he is now reunited with his beloved wife of 65 years, Charlotte whom he has missed every day since she departed this earth.

At the time of Roy’s departure they would have been married 71 years. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday May 24 at Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Pastor Jon Callahan will officiate.
