Obituary for Mr. Roy Lee Tidwell Our beloved Roy Tidwell Sr. Went home with the Lord July 17th 2018 after a long battle with Congestive Heart Failure. Roy Sr. was born in Galveston, Texas August 18, 1963 to Robert and Jewell Tidwell Sr. Roy moved to Wisconsin in 1970 at the age of 7. Graduated from Reuther High School in Kenosha Wisconsin, soon after marriying the love of his life Tequilla (Quil-as he called her) M. Catron November 20th 1982.
Together they had three beautiful children, La’Tanya, Roy Jr. and LaDon. They traveled throughout Wisconsin until they found their home in Green Bay in 1994. It was in Green Bay Roy Sr. Payed the foundation for his family; ordained as a Deacon at Divine Temple Church under Pastor L.C Green.
Roy Sr. went on to obtain several licenses, and certifications to advance his career as a welder, at Four Corporation until he medically retired. Roy had a passion for family, friends, and most of all laughter. Knowing Roy is to love Roy, his witty personality, and raw humor was definitely one of a kind.
Roy Sr. Was the monument of strength and endurance; which is the legacy he leaves to his family. Roy is survived by his maternal grandmother Mary Alice Linear, parents Robert and Jewell, sister Mary Ann, brothers Robert (Rachel), Clevelend Ray, and Ramone Tidwell. His wife Tequilla, and children La’Tanya Campbell, Roy Tidwell Jr., LaDon and (Deontario) Stevenson.
Grand children Ta’Quadre, Serenity, Latavianna, Sa’Niya, Latasjanea, JaCari, Precious, Jaxston, and Dontaeveon. As well as a host of in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews . Roy Sr. Was proceeded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandfathers, his paternal grandmother.
His motherin-law Louise Carley, sister-in law Pamela Frazier, and Son-in law Andre Campbell. Home going services will be at 12 o’clock on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Divine Temple Church 425 Cherry Street Green Bay. Burial will follow after services at Woodlawn Cemetery 1542 Webster Ave Green Bay WI.
As a Celebration of Roy Sr.’s life we will gather back at Divine Temple Church at 2:30 P.M. For the Repass.
