Roy Port, 64, of North Charleston, retired first class painter, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2019. Roy was born December 22, 1954 in Awendaw, South Carolina a son of James Tillman Port and Henrietta Winkles Blakeley. Surviving are sons- Roy Port, Jr of North Charleston; Rocky Port of North Charleston; a daughter- Christy Port and her husband, Jason, of Orlando, Florida; seven grandchildren- Ashly Port, Jacob Plummer, Kaylie Port, Raegan Port, Kourtney Port, Marissa Lyons and Allison Lyons; five sisters- Geneva Powell of Hanahan; Sharon Thornall and her husband, Michael, of St. George; Mae Port of Hanahan; Joyce Myers of North Charleston and Kathy Vereen of North Charleston.

He was predeceased by a sister- Delores Coker and a brother- Jesse Port. He was loved by many and loved his family more than anything. A visitation will be held at Russell Funeral Chapel, Friday evening February 8, 2019 from 6 to 8 o’clock.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to help with expenses.
