Obituary for Ruby Nell Almon In profound sorrow we announce the passing of Ruby Nell Almon, age 75, of Newnan, Georgia on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Heard Wesley United Methodist Church, Franklin, Georgia. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery.

Ruby Nell Tucker was born the only child of Virginia (Tucker) Terrell and John Lee Stephens on December 26, 1942. She was reared by Nathan Terrell and raised and resided in Heard and Coweta counties. She graduated from Mary Johnson High and later married Josephus Almond Sr. (deceased).

Ruby was a very independent woman and a jack-of-all-trades. She was a provider for her family. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents: Nathan and Virginia Terrell; John Lee and Ola Mae Stephens; husband, Josephus Almon; and sister, Johnnie Mary Stephens Ball.

She leaves her legacy in her 6 children: Joe Cephas (Geneva) Almon; Renee (Samuel) White; Adron (Winona) Almon; Angela (Adrian) Haugabrook; Stephanie (Tracy) Jenkins; Nicholas Nelson; and a special daughter, Laronda Zachery; also 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; her siblings: Jemmie Ann Ragland, Henry Stephens (Artie), Freddie Stephens, John Walter Stephens, and Vivian Almond; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
